Candidates for the Executive Committee

James Michael Donohue, C.R. is a Resurrectionist priest from Canada, who chairs the Theology Department at Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He teaches undergraduates courses in Foundations of Christian Theology, Sacraments, Christology, and several pastoral courses on Lay and Youth Ministry. His scholarly work is primarily on the rites for the sick, dying, and deceased. Jim coaches the Mount’s Division III hockey team and, even in his advancing years, continues to play the game himself!

Kathleen Harmon, SNDdeN, M.M., Ph.D., is Music Director for programs of the Institute for Liturgical Ministry in Dayton, Ohio and Co-director of the Liturgy in a Formative Environment program held annually at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. She is one of the planners and coordinators of the annual St. John’s University Liturgical Music Workshop. She writes the Music Notes column for the quarterly journal Liturgical Ministry and is one of the authors of the annual publication Living Liturgy: Spirituality, Celebration, Catechesis for Sundays and Solemnities. Her most recent books are The Ministry of Music: Singing the Paschal Mystery and The Ministry of Cantors, published by the Liturgical Press. She has published articles on the psalms and on the ministry of liturgical music in Today’s Liturgy and Pastoral Music. She has done extensive liturgical education and consultation throughout the United States and Canada. She holds a graduate degree in church music from Westminster Choir College and a doctorate in liturgy from Drew University.
