He received a Ph.D. in Theology from Notre Dame in 1995, and then worked as an editor at LTP until 1998. Since then he has been assistant professor of Liturgical Studies at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. Martin has attended the Academy for about a decade and was the Convener of the Early Liturgy Seminar at the NAAL for three years (1999-2002). His publications include books, edited books, translations, chapters in edited collections, articles on the liturgical year and initiation in scholarly journals, encyclopedia articles, and numerous shorter pieces on pastoral liturgy and theology.
Mary Alice Piil, CSJ is best known to Academy members as our past Secretary. Since leaving that office, Mary Alice has also left her position of twenty year on the faculty of the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, New York.
